Our Bank has released a report detailing its "green steps" taken over the past year. These initiatives have made tangible contributions to protecting the ecosystem and reducing the environmental carbon footprint.
To support nature restoration and reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories, Expressbank employees planted more than 200 trees. Beyond laying the foundation for a greener and healthier environment for future generations, this serves as a vivid example of corporate social responsibility and civic duty during the region's revival process.
Proper waste management and resource conservation remained a core focus of our environmental activities. Over the past year, to prevent paper waste, more than 5 tons of paper were collected and sent for recycling.
In an initiative organized with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources to protect the marine ecosystem, bank staff collected and removed 300 kg of waste from the Caspian Sea coastline. Additionally, special collection boxes were placed in the Bank's offices and branches for used batteries—considered among the most hazardous waste materials for the environment. This allowed not only employees but also bank customers to join this eco-friendly initiative. Throughout the year, 26 kg of battery waste, which could pose a risk to the community and nature, was collected and safely sent for disposal.
To help protect stray animals, special cat shelters were installed in front of more than 10 Expressbank branches.
All environmental measures implemented by the Bank are carried out under the "Care for Nature – Legacy for the Future" (Təbiətə qayğı – Gələcəyə miras) project. As a socially responsible financial institution, Expressbank plans to maintain such initiatives as a priority direction in the future.
